A three-year-old girl remains at the orphanage on Nazor street in Zagreb after she was found wandering alone in a park in Velika Gorica nearly a month ago. It is presumed that she became lost at the beginning of the refugee crisis when refugees were being transported to Zagreb.
Unfortunately, the authorities have not been able to determine her origin, the language she speaks or any other information.
Nobody is looking or asking for her. It is presumed that she comes from Pakistan. She has reacted only to words spoken in the Urdu language.
The girl is healthy and well nurtured.
At the orphanage, where she is temporarily staying, they say that she is very polite for her age and communicates using hand gestures. It's obvious that someone, presumably her parents, has been taking good care of her.
Volunteers who help refugees have gathered on the Facebook page “Are You Syrious?” seeking Pashto and Persian speakers to come forward and help communicate with the girl. It would be preferable if a woman came forward so the child would feel more comfortable.

Native speakers of several languages could not recognize the language she uses. So far, they have tried to talk to her in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hindi and Azeri.
A system for finding her family has been initiated through UNHCR and the Red Cross. We would appreciate if you could share this photo. Especially within refugee camps all over Europe, social media and the press.
